As expected... Khabib Nurmagomedov dominated Al Iaquinta for five 5-minute rounds. Khabib imposes his will and take his relentless take downs to keep Al Iaquinta in a survival mode for 5 rounds. Iaquinta landed some good shots but none of them threatens Khabib. Khabib Nurmagomedov is now 26-0 in the octagon and is wanting to fight Georges St. Pierre in November.
Iaquinta showed some heart in the fight, he was almost submitted by Khabib for how many times but his cardio and fighting spirit was never crushed by Khabib.
Khabib was suppose to fight Max Holloway as a replacement for Tony Ferguson but Max was removed from the card by the New York Commission due to being unfit to cut weight.
